Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will crush my soul and distroy who I am. Just like sticks and stones can be used to build magnificant strucures words can create beautyful things, and just like sticks and stones can be used to hurt and distroy so can words. The big diffrence is words have more power and can be more devistating than any physical wound that could be inflicted. We use the ryme sticks and stones to tell ourselfs that what people say doesnt really matter, but it rarely works. The only way to defeat harmfull words is for others to use more powerfull words and back them up with love to build us up strong enough that the sharp biting and hateful words cannot tear us down.
